ANZ: Banners


Banking banners don’t need to be dry and boring. There is room for new ideas, better ways of telling a story and engaging the audience. In the span of three months at Whybin/TBWA I got to create and oversee implementation of 40-50 banner concepts to be deployed within the coming six months, spanning insurance, wealth, business banking products, saving packages, mortgages…

Special care was put into the animation of banners, using interesting animations with attention to detail – making them come alive.

The banners include a wide variety of sizes (leaderboards, skyscrapers, MRECs) as well as devices (tablets, mobile, desktops) and placements (The Age, ANZ.com.au, realestate.com.au).

In some cases new technologies were used (“download a calendar reminder” for end of financial year offers), and big ideas kickstarted (“You can’t predict the future – but you can insure it”, with tea leaves forming the shape of a family in a tea cup – looking towards developing an engaging app).
