A halfway house on Vandaugh’s Moon
Traditionally i do concept art, and I have been avoiding 3D because i prefer to focus on the art direction, the concept, even the architectural plans, to give a 3D artist enough room to translate my vision into a real tangible model.
I understand there must be overlap of skills. As an architect I must understand how things are built: the possibilities and limitations… And a builder must understand the architectural and user-centered experience, so it’s not just building something because you can. It’s important for everyone to have an area of expertise but also hands-on knowledge of the other disciplines involved.
Meanwhile, here is a playful campsite with out-of-this-world materials, ideal as a semi-permanent halfway house in a longer journey across the Vandaugh’s Moon plains.
