4. CASE STUDIES SUMMARY

The development of the visual models demonstrated in this document is the practical outcome of seeking better ways to communicate ideas and information on multimedia projects I have worked on.

There are many such projects, spanning several years and many types of media: web, print media, digital video, CDRom productions and many more. Some models have been developed, improved and refined as they are used from project to project; some other models become case-specific and only used in particular occassions.
The four projects which I propose, (Blurred, Ethics, Override.com.au and Eyewear Now), present the most recent refinement of these models, and are most appropriate to explain the processes which they emerged from.

All of these projects have involved a team of designers, a client and an audience of some type. The life span of the project cycle is approximately between three to four months, and they all involve the implementation of a digital product. Here I present a description of the end product, process details that relate to the proposed visualisation models, the extent and role of my involvement in the project and an overview of the design process in each project.
